Fresh and Fruity Oatmeal

from: Recipes-Exchange

Ingredients

* 2 cups of oats
* 1 cup of fresh apple juice
* 1 cup of water
* 3/4 cup of diced, dried fruit or raisins
* 1 teaspoon of maple syrup
* 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
* 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Preparation & Cooking

In a large mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients and mix well. Cover and refrigerate overnight to allow the oats to soak up the juice, water and syrup.

Transfer to individual cereal bowls, add skim milk and microwave each serving on high for one to two minutes or serve cold with nonfat yogurt. Stir well and enjoy.

Healthy Hint: Evidence still suggests that eating oats regularly can lower cholesterol levels. This is a delicious way to do so.

Serves: 6 Servings
Preparation Time: 24 hours
Cooking Time: 2 minutes (optional)
